Within the introduction of online casino games and cash poker in the Italian market, bwin.party digital entertainment plc has introduced several new online gambling services in Italy under the brands of Party, bwin and Gioco Digitale – Giocodigitale.it., GdPoker.it, bwin.it and PartyPoker.it. Launching of Italian cash poker and online casino comes after all necessary licenses were issued by the Italian regulator, AAMS. bwin.party said that other branded products are expected to be introduced during the coming weeks.
The bwin’s executive officers Jim Ryan and Norbert Teufelberger say that they are glad to be among the first operators launching cash poker and table based casino games. They claim that cash game poker has been always extremely popular and thanks to their high-class software they can offer Italian players excellent tournaments and cash games. They look forward to increasing their presence in the Italian market, though it is already significant, as according to AAMS, their poker brands occupy more than 16% of the market.
The opening of the new casino in Italy would be a new source of revenue for the Group and they expect to strengthen their market position by launching other products in the future months. Present company’s activities in Italy include skill games (with tournament poker), online sports betting and bingo.
Online casino developer from Sweden, Net Entertainment has confirmed that it enters the Italian online casino market in cooperation with Gioco Digitale and would also provide bwin.it with its games. bwin.party digital entertainment plc shares have grown 5.44% and now are worth 139.50 pence for each share in London as at 19th of July.
